How admission works, step by step.
Five steps, and a real decision at the end of them.
The two individual programmes begin the same way: a short written form, a conversation with a member of the teaching team, and a written decision with a reason.
The Institutional Programme has no application form. A board-level engagement is scoped in conversation first, and starts here. Individual participants inside such an engagement are then screened and interviewed privately, exactly as below.
The form below takes 8–15 minutes, depending on how fully you answer. It asks nothing about your health. Health and history screening is a separate stage, on its own secure questionnaire, and it is only issued once both sides have decided a conversation is worth having.
Nothing is charged at application. No card details are taken here, no deposit is requested, and a declined applicant pays nothing.

Application
A short written form: who you are, how to reach you, which programme you are asking about, and what is happening now that made this relevant. Seven questions and a consent tick, on one screen. No health questions, no card details, and nothing you cannot answer in your own words.

A conversation
A call with a member of our teaching team, usually about thirty minutes. We are establishing two things: whether this format suits you at this moment, and whether the work addresses what you actually came for. It is also where you get to interrogate us — the method, the teacher, the measurement, the terms — before anything is payable.

Health and history screening
Only if both of us want to continue. A separate secure questionnaire asks direct questions about psychiatric history, current medication, experiences of psychosis, mania or dissociation, substance dependence, and recent bereavement or trauma. Please answer accurately: nothing here disqualifies you automatically, incomplete answers may. These answers are held apart from our ordinary business systems, are readable by two named people, and are never sent to you or anyone else by email.

A decision, within five working days, with a reason
You will receive a written decision within five working days of the conversation, and it will contain a reason. Where we say no, we say why, and where there is somewhere more useful for you to go we will point at it. It is a judgment about fit and timing, and it is often “not now” rather than “not ever”.

Enrolment
On acceptance, a deposit secures your place or your dates. The balance falls due before the programme begins — we do not take the full fee up front. The full Terms and the full Refund and Cancellation Policy are provided to you in writing before any payment is taken.
Whether this is the right work, and whether this is the right moment for it.
Screening exists because intensive work with attention suits some people at some moments, and because the published literature on adverse effects is clear enough that asking first is a safety requirement.
These are the six things the conversation looks at. None of them is an automatic no, and where the answer is no it comes with a reason and, where we can offer one, somewhere better to go.
Psychiatric history
Recent or current psychosis or mania, recent psychiatric hospitalisation, a current severe episode, or a history where an intensive format carries elevated risk. This is a question about timing and support, and it is discussed rather than scored.
A hard year
A bereavement, an assault or a comparable event in the recent past. Quiet and reduced distraction can bring difficult material to the surface, and there are better and worse moments to invite that.
If you are suffering right now
People arrive here because something hurts: a decision that will not stop replaying, a week that will not switch off. That is ordinary, and it is welcome. What we teach is education rather than care, so where what you are carrying needs a clinician we will say so plainly and help you find one — and where you already have one, this becomes a conversation with them about timing.
Whether you chose this
Where an employer, a partner or a family member is requiring this of you, we will ask to speak with you privately first. The work asks for honest observation, and that is difficult to do on somebody else's behalf.
A previous difficult experience
A serious adverse reaction to intensive contemplative practice, breathwork or something comparable is the clearest predictor in this literature, and the question most often left unasked. A “yes” leads to a conversation, not an automatic no.
What you are looking for
There is no doctrine here, no membership, nothing to join and no lineage — so if what you want is somewhere to belong, this is the wrong shape of thing, and it is kinder to say so now than in week three.
Honesty never costs you money. If something you tell us means we cannot admit you — at application, or at any point before the programme begins — everything you have paid is refunded in full, including the deposit. That rule exists precisely so that nobody has a financial reason to leave something out.

Received. A member of the teaching team reads this personally, and you will hear back within two working days — in writing, either with a time for the conversation or a decline with a reason. The decision itself follows within five working days of that conversation.

If anything material changes before you hear from us — a new diagnosis, a change in medication, a bereavement, or a period of significant distress — please write to admissions@atmaclarity.com. Disclosing a change will never cost you money.
Your answers are processed by Atma Clarity LLC as described in our Privacy Policy. Health screening responses are held separately from our ordinary business systems, restricted to two named people, never placed in a customer record, never used for marketing, and deleted 90 days after a programme ends — or 12 months after a decision, where we do not admit you.

If you would rather talk to a person before filling in anything, the client office will arrange it, in confidence, with nothing payable. Enquiries on behalf of a board, a partnership or a family office start there in any case.
